CHAINSWORDS

These machines you may know as 'sounder pounder tree cutterdowners' are somehow swords and your two favorite Warhammer 40k heroes are dueling with them.

None of the smoke associated with chainsaws is to be seen but the sound and the whirring of the blades can't be missed. Not to mention the sparks caused by the clash of blades.

Yes, they're clashing.

Standing a good foot and a half shorter than Garviel, Cain is somehow managing to not get a chainsword blade stuck in his head. He can't fight the Space Marine strength on strength but his ability to deflect the blade must either be instinct or awesome skill. Either way, they still pause every so often because fighting a frakking Astartes is like hitting your head on a brick wall.

Feel free to gawk, think they're insane, or that their weapons can't be wieldy due to physics but they still handle them like they're Jedi Masters.

At the park, of course.

Garviel and Cain will be tagging the threads separately and threadjacking between the two may happen.]

Maaaaaaybe~! What are those things?

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
They're called chainswords.

Oh. That makes sense, doesn't it~

They look kinda unwieldy, though. It must be awfully heavy...

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
They're made out of Adamantium, which is lighter than most metal.

Ooooooh. That would help!

Big swords like that aren't my first choice, but that one definitely gets the job done~ [She's practically bouncing with excitement. It looks like so much fun. *A*]

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Let me guess. You want to try it.

[identity profile] sting-like-a.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
[BINGO! Her eyes light up like a kid in a candy store.]

Can I? Can I reaaaaaaally?

[He grabs the safety strip on the back and holds it out.]

Just don't lop off a limb.

[She lets out a whoop of delight and takes the sword from him, giving it a few experimental swings. This is obviously a weapon type that she's unused to, but she treats it with care and respect, regardless.]

Not bad! We could've used some of these back home~

You might as well go wild with it. It's been through a hundred years of combat. It's not going to break because you slammed it on the ground.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
A hundred years. I've been a Commissar for a little longer than that though.

[identity profile] sting-like-a.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
You don't look that much older than me, though!

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I've had juvenat treatments.

[identity profile] sting-like-a.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Juve-what? Does it stop you from aging or something?

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
It slows down aging.
