CHAINSWORDS

These machines you may know as 'sounder pounder tree cutterdowners' are somehow swords and your two favorite Warhammer 40k heroes are dueling with them.

None of the smoke associated with chainsaws is to be seen but the sound and the whirring of the blades can't be missed. Not to mention the sparks caused by the clash of blades.

Yes, they're clashing.

Standing a good foot and a half shorter than Garviel, Cain is somehow managing to not get a chainsword blade stuck in his head. He can't fight the Space Marine strength on strength but his ability to deflect the blade must either be instinct or awesome skill. Either way, they still pause every so often because fighting a frakking Astartes is like hitting your head on a brick wall.

Feel free to gawk, think they're insane, or that their weapons can't be wieldy due to physics but they still handle them like they're Jedi Masters.

At the park, of course.

Garviel and Cain will be tagging the threads separately and threadjacking between the two may happen.]

Because Souji wants to grow chest hair too

[ Souji is staring, and yes he's surprised. ]

...They're chainsaws, but they're swords.

Just so. Chainswords. Perfect for cracking the shells of armored opponents.

...Someone your size has to worry about breaking armor on an opponent?

Astartes generally fight things even larger than we are. Orks, Megarachnids, various mechanical units.

[identity profile] inababanchou.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
But Cain is half your size.

[ Says this, yet knowing that Cain isn't a bloody pile of shreds right now. ]</small<

He is also my friend, and we both need to keep in practice.

[identity profile] inababanchou.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't want Cain to go too hard on you.

[identity profile] lunawolves10th.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
I must confess I am impressed. It is a rare feat for a mortal to parry even one blow from my sword, let alone keep up with me. He must have been training for years.

[He was.]

The ones they had at the hardware shop fall apart too easy. I wouldn't compare them at all.

[identity profile] inababanchou.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
The only swords I'm familiar with don't come with a chainsaw add-on.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Those flat bladed things? Those would have gotten me killed dozens of times over.

[identity profile] inababanchou.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
It helps when your opponent has a weapon without the chainsaw attachment.

[ Just amazed that Cain hasn't sustained any wound on him. Nevermind that his first encounters with Cain was helping him in the kitchen. ]

Some ork axes don't, thankfully.

[identity profile] lunawolves10th.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Ork Axes are pretty nasty, with or without a chainblade. I have a notch on my bolter from a warboss trying to cut me in half, caught it on the trigger-guard.

[identity profile] hideandhero.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Warbosses are a different story. Did I ever tell you I killed one of those myself before? I bet that would even impress an Astartes.
